About TAAZ

Travel Agents Association of Zambia (TAAZ) is an organisation founded 40 years ago to promote and recognise professional travel services. Our association is administered by our Presidents Mr Osama Bux, with the supports of a secretariat and executive board.

Together with the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA), we proudly represent Travel Agencies and Tour Operators.

We work hand in hand with Zambia Tourism Agency to ensure all travel agencies and tour operators in Zambia are compliant with the country’s legal requirements and that their practices are up to professional standards.

Members of TAAZ are proudly recognised as official, reliable and professional travel agencies and tour operator.

IATA – International Air Transport Authority

Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. IATA represents most airlines throughout the world and liaises closely with UFTAA. To be accredited by IATA, travel agents have to submit bank guarantees, have IATA trained staff, have secure offices and be easily accessible to the traveling public UFTAA – United Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations – Headquarters, Nice, France. UFTAA represent all registered travel agents throughout the world and liaise closely with IATA.

The United Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations (UFTAA)

Emanates from the Universal Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations created in Rome, Italy, on November 22nd, 1966. UFTAA was originally founded as a result of a merger of two large world organizations, FIAV and UOTAA, recognizing the need to unify travel agencies and tour-operators into one international federation. In 1989, coming from Brussels, UFTAA set up its General Secretariat in the Principality of Monaco.

Zambia Tourism Agency

ZTA was established through an Act of Parliament number 24 of 2007 with a mandate to promote and market Zambia as a tourist destination within and outside Zambia.

Tourism Council of Zambia

TCZ is a membership based not -for-profit intermediary organisation for the tourism enterprises and associations in Zambia. The Council was established in 1997 to coordinate the activities of the private sector in the tourism industry. TCZ‘s main activities are anchored on its mandate which is to drive the growth of the tourism industry by influencing Government policy in favour of the sector.

Tourism Council of Zambia (TCZ) is private sector membership driven intermediary organization established under the Registrar of Societies Act of the Laws of Zambia. TCZ was established in 1997.
